PowerDirector

I just downloaded a short video from YouTube (MP4 - 03:18 Length - Size: 17.2MB). I used Powerdirector to shorten it to 01:40 and added a fade in. When I produced it, the size grew to 232MB. I just don't understand why this happens and what I can do to contain file to their origina size or reduce it.

I used the same prompt I used with Google VEO3 and the Power Director results were very poor. Google wasn't perfect but PD was very poor.

Hi. in the last 2 weeks i have a problem with the audio files. when i import the files and add on a timeline of a video, the time of the audio it doubles. exemple : a 15 min audio file (mp3) it s drag to the timeline without any effects it becomes 25-30 minutes log, with no sound after the first 15 minutes ( the original length). i was hoping after the update will be ok, but it wasn t . i uninstall and reinstall the app. is not working... it`s a bug

I am running DirectorSuite 365 on Windows 10 64 bit. I got the 'trial version' message when I tried to use BorisFX - I'm not sure when this happened (after which update) because I haven't used it for a while, but I am currently on the most recent verision after uninstalling/reinstalling multiple times to try and fix this. I can't 'uninstall' BorisFX/Continuum because it never installs. I get this error as soon as I click into Effects. My graphics card driver is up to date - that was the first thing I did. I do have a ticket in, just wondering if anyone has had and/or solved this issue?

PowerDirector is unique in UI and design. I can't find similar software. How come there is no other software with PowerDirector's UI?

It's now July 16th and CAM says I'm up to date with version 1811 which came out in early June. There were some Titles and Transitions pushed onto systems but the feature updates seem to be a no-show.

I have an issue with the BorisFX plugin that should be included with my subscription, but it doesn’t appear in the effects tab. I recently subscribed, downloaded, and performed a clean installation of PowerDirector 365, version 23.5.1811.0. Upon launching PD, I received a warning indicating that BorisFX needed to be downloaded. I watched the module download, PD closed, and the BorisFX installer appeared. However, after restarting PD, BorisFX still doesn’t show up in the third-party section of the effects tab. Restarting the PC didn’t resolve the issue either. I’m using Windows 11, and I can confirm that "Boris FX Continuum plug-ins 11 for CyberLink" is listed in the configuration manager under Add/Remove Programs. Additionally, a BorisFX folder exists in 'C:/Program Files,' which includes an installation log that shows no errors. What steps do I need to take to get the plugin working in PD? Used to be able to drag an area from the play head to select a part of the timeline for pre-rendering. That seems to have vanished in the August '24 update. How do I do it now?

I was considering upscaling some of my videos from 720p (and lower) to at least 1080p. PD365 advertised that feature so I thought I'd move to a subscription license that you offer over the "perpetual license" that I already have for a number of your products. So, I just plunked down the first year's fee, downloaded and installed the product, uploaded my 9 minute "test vid," and DISCOVERED THAT I WOULD NEED CREDITS for the upscaling process. Well, Cyberlink gave me 100, which might sound fair to some, but I consider it a cheat. Nowhere was this promoted; there was no small print, or caveat, or notice that anything would be required other than the provided software. Oh, and the 100 credits provided? That's 100 seconds (1 minute, 40 seconds) of upscaling. I just wanted to see how well the enhancement would work, but my shortest video is 9 minutes long. Those credits are a joke, and I'm not laughing. You also don't seem to sell credits on your website, probably because you don't want customers to be aware that you're charging more than the subscription rates for built-in features of the software. I've already uploaded a complaint to your Facebook page, as well as warned people away from this mistake that I discovered. It's been a long time since I've gotten so royally screwed with my pants on.

I would like to upgrade from v 15 but don't want a subscription. Can I still purchase a v19 etc.?
