Yesterday I installed the latest version of PowerDirector including “improvements” in the field of subtitles. To add a new subtitle, click on a “Plus”, it says in a help window. Where is that 'Plus' then?? I only see pluses after the previous subtitles and if you press them, you immediately get a space to enter text behind that previously placed subtitle. In the previous version, you could press Plus and a new field was added to enter text where the cursor was placed in the timeline. I found that much more convenient. Now you have to keep scrolling with that text to get it to the right place. Also, the position in height of the subtitles was always the same unless you were going to slide the text yourself. Now you always have to see if the position is still the same as the previously created text fields. Also, when working with subtitles, you must now uncheck the box that stands for: apply to all fields. You usually don't want that because you sometimes want to give the subtitles per video or photo clip a different specific location. By leaving the check mark, you will lose the position you had previously chosen so carefully for all other subtitles. I would say turn it around: by default, the check mark is off, unless you want it to apply to all subtitles in the movie. I think that will happen sporadically.
