Soundstripe Problem
I
Ian Bean
Since updating to V24.5.1707, I have lost access to a huge number of music files in the Soundstripe tab. The following folders have titles I can choose:
Ambient, Ballad, Cinematic, Classic Rock, Experimental, Middle East, Modern Orchestra, Orchestral, Soundscape, Soundtrack, Southern Rock, Synthwave, Underscore, and World.
The other 45 folders show nothing.
Has something changed with this release or do I have a tech problem.

Here's the real reason your Cyberlink / Soundstripe background music is going away. More egregious monetization!

It seems the issue has been resolved in the new 1727 version this week.
Update the software if the update dialog pops up.

I've had discussions on my YT channel about this latest update and how it removed many music tracks. But my attention was focused mostly on the CyberLink collection in which there are no longer any types such as Ambient, Cinematic, Classic. Everything has to be searched for using their new AI Search. Many previous tracks that I saved off no longer exist in the CyberLink collection. I've learned to avoid the Soundstripe collection because of their copyright problems so I am surprised that many of those files also have gone missing. Did CyberLink cut down the music track offerings to save licensing money or is this a temporary glitch in this update? I can't wait to see if the June update addresses this issue or not.

Brian Lightfoot As an update, I asked support about this as part of my wider problem with the broken subtitling. They ignored my question.

Interestingly, rolling back to V24.3.1525 and magically the Soundstripe music comes back so it's something in the new version.
