Vertical Lines on Stock Video

Please Fix the Stock Video Bug which was introduced in version 24.0805.0 and remains unresolved
I have created a video which uses a lot of stock footage from iStock, as part of my subscription to Powerdirector 365.
All the stock video clips looked fine, until 24.0805.0 (whch was two Powerdirector version updates ago).
Now, a few (not all) of the imported iStock video clips look like this - with vertical stripes. They appear this corrupted way in the Media Library thumbnails, in the preview window, when played as part of the video from the timeline, and when exported as an edited video project.
Deleting and re-downloading the stock video did not fix the problem. I also located the source video file in my stock media folder on my PC and confirmed the source video looks fine when played through an alternative video player (eg. VLC). It's only in Cyberlink Powerdirector 365 that the video clip now has these vertical bars on it.
I have rolled back to version 23.6.1923.0 and can confirm the stock footage looks fine in that version. So whatever this bug is, it was first introduced by Cyberlink in version 24.0805.0.
Please fix this bug. If a subscription version is going to be introducing new bugs, and causing me to have to reinstall old versions to get my video projects working again, then I'd rather have a standalone product again.

You may want to revert back to the latest version "23" release - 23.6.1923.0. Reverting to this release my ProRes 422 10bit media files are no longer showing inaccurate colors and vertical red lines. To revert to a previous version - open Cyberlink Application Manager. In the PowerDirector box are three dots. Clicking on these dots brings up a selection list of previous releases you can install.

It's not limited to stock footage. I'm having a similar issue with my videos transcoded from 422 10bit mp4 to ProRes 422 10bit. The color is off (like it was shot in log) along with vertical lines. PD365 rendered these videos properly before this update.

Has there been any resolution on this yet as I am having the same issue? I have a short term fix of importing the clips into Colour Director then exporting them into a MP4 format which I can then edit in Power Director but it is time consuming

Hello,
Thanks for posting. I have been told by CyberLink that they have produced similar conditions and are investigating it.

Many thanks for your udpate.
One thing though... The latest version I can download - as showing in Cyberlink Application Manager - is 24.0.0825.0.
How can I obtain the version 24.0.0905 which you have said contains this fix?

Roland Mattis Thanks. Still no sign of it for me. Hopefully it will be offered to me within the next 24 hours or so.

CyberLink ModeratorStill no update available to me. Very disappointing to have my work held up by a subscription product which introduced a bug and not be offered the fix that has apparently been available for 5 days.

CyberLink Moderator Any idea when this update (24.0.0905) will be released to the masses? I had to revert back to release 23.6.1923.0 due to inaccurate color rendering and vertical red lines for ProRes 422 10bit imports. As of this date, Sep 16, App Mgr is showing 24.0.0825.0 as the "Latest Version".

Mark Barrentine I raised a support ticket, and was eventually provided with a link to download the latest version of PD Essential, which automatically upgraded itself to PD 365 after installation.
