No sound from video track while recording a voice over.

In PD 365 I am trying to do a voice over while playing a video karaoke track. I can record, but as soon as I plug in the USB microphone, I no longer hear the karaoke video clip. Nothing is muted. The microphone is recognized, and like I said, I can record, but I need to hear the music.

I believe there is a voice monitor output (AUX port) on your USB microphone that will change your default audio output to the microphone itself in Windows right after you plugged the microphone. And, you cannot hear anything from the microphone if you didn't plug a headphone to the AUX port of the microphone.
You should check adjust the audio output to correct speaker or headphone output in Windows audio settings after you plugged the microphone.
