When OPACITY=0 the video blinks (blinking)

The exported video when the opacity is reduced to 0 (zero) or in segments where there is no clip (because I want to leave a few seconds in black) the resulting video blinks between black and the last image but as if it had opacity= 10% (that is, it looks like a shadow of the real image or a ghost)
Try even the sample images by putting together a timeline as seen in the image and exporting to MP4/H.264/1920x1080/30fps/8000 Kbps.

Hi,
I made the same type of project and did not see the same results on exported file with the same version of Powerdirector. This points to it possibly being your GPU driver or something similar.
Try turning off hardware encoding on export or contact their customer support:

Hello Ashley Williams, “turning off hardware encoding on export” didn't make any difference.
It occurred to me to add another video track behind the original one with a solid black clip/panel (0,0,0) - see image - so that when the opacity is reduced to 0 (zero) or there is a segment without any clip, that track is displayed... and it worked perfectly!
Seeing the result of this test, I updated my notebook's video card driver and re-tested the original project without the solid black panel, but the flicker in the resulting MP4 file is the same with the hardware encoding turned on or off.

Again, I copied your project exactly and I don't get the same result. Maybe use Screen Recoder to take a video of your timeline that shows this flash and upload it here or to Youtube. Also showing the resulting video would help. Or contact customer support!

Definitely weird. Must be something with your GPU, but as I said twice already, you should send your project to Cyberlink's customer service.

Since the July 2025 updates I have been having different problems such as: the FADE transition randomly reverses the faded sense starting with the destination image instead of the source, the captions are not positioned correctly, the flickering of the last image when there is no clip... I have already reinstalled PowerDirector and the video drivers several times over the course of these months, as new versions of PD appeared.
Probably the GPU in my notebook and/or W10 have become incompatible with the latest versions of PD365, so in a short time I will be changing computers.
