SSD change for Rush
B
Bruno DUBOIS
Good morning,
I have a hard drive where I have all my rushes and on which PowerDirector 365 will look for the rushes during my projects. I am in the middle of a project and the disk is no longer working properly. So I am transferring this SSD to a new M2. Of course this new record will not have the same letter as the old one.
What is the easiest way for PowerDirector to look for the rushes on the new drive, not the old one, when I launch my current project?

Lots on the old forum, unchanged in theory since the early days - for example
In theory, if you can emulate the same folder structure on your M2, then you can either allocate or redirect the drive name to the same as the SSD and all should be well.
A lot will depend on if that's now possible from the failing SSD, on how complex your data structures are and what volumes of data we are talking about.
I good search of the old forum will uncover a number of suggestions, including manual or script based editing of project .pds files and some other techniques
If it is only your current project it might be easier, if the SSD allows it, to Pack the project to the M2 and then use the packed files to re-instate the project and save to your new location?
