Can not trim a video.

Can not trim a video. I import a 4K video. I drag the video to the timeline. I select trim and move the slider to the starting frame. I see the starting frame and click the indicator for the frame I want to start on. Trim freezes up from there, I tried uninstall and reinstall. It still does not work. Running latest version from 365 subscription. I have over 300GB of free disk space and can not see any reason for the freeze. It happened on two files now.

A 38 minute 4K video takes a lot of computing power to edit, so you first should ensure your computer exceeds the minimum requirements. It sounds like Powerdirector is creating a shadow file to speed up editing (hence you seeing PDhanumanSvr). For a 38 minute video, it will take a while to do this and consume a lot of your CPU. You can either try leaving Powerdirector open and wait for the shadow file to be generated, or turning off shadow file generation in preferences: https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/2026/win/enu/96_05_00_ha_preferences.html?

What is PDhanumanSvr? It's been reading my imported file for over 10 minutes now and using lots of CPU.

One thing that I see is that the thumbnails are not showing on the timeline. The video is about 38 minutes. Is it just incredibly slow? A shorter video did not act this way. Disappointing because I have been editing videos of this length with no problems.
