Bit of a big subject!
Assuming you are only talking post production, then a lot may depend on aesthetics and target audiences. Cultural differences do make a difference to how a production is finalised - american, european, middle east, far east seem to find different transitions, VO and colour palettes more or less attractive.
4K footage handling will depend more on system specs and horsepower than PDR. Make sure any footage conforms to the specs for import
to avoid having to convert. This is particularly true for drone footage for instance.
Colour grading is a massive subject, PDR can do good colour matching and apply LUTs etc, ColorDirector is better and has more functionality. A lot will depend on what you need from your original footage? For instance, any underwater footage can be challenging to colour grade, inside shots will depend on lighting/backgrounds/subject balance, outside side will be heavily influenced by weather conditions/time of day etc.
Depending on the size of project and system specs, consider your workflow - do all edits and adjustments on the time lines or do each clip/combo of clips separately and assemble to final production later. Personally, for anything other than simple projects, I tend to use the "sub-projects" approach and assemble a final product with transitions/VO/audio as the last stage. Others prefer to do one big project so......
Ready made intro/outro template projects are very useful to design and have ready to give continuity to any "series" of vlogs.
