Audio issues after moving files to a different location

I don't even know how to describe what happened here, but hopefully someone can tell me so it doesn't happen again!
I created a 46-minute video using video files from 3 different cameras. I synced the audio for them all manually, then removed the audio for cameras 2 & 3. The final video included a variety of cuts back and forth from different camera angles, zooms, and transitions. Nothing too fancy.
Here's the issue...When I was ready to render the final, it kept getting stuck, so I figured it was because all the files, including the pds file, were on an external hard drive, so I moved them all to the C drive and re-linked the applicable files to the project. I then proceeded to produce the video, and it got past that "stuck" place just fine.
When I went to play the video, I found that the video was all different!! It included parts of each camera that were not in the final on my external drive, and the audio included audio from other cameras, or maybe it was duplicate of the chosen audio, just not synced. I went back to the pds file and it was the same!! I don't know what happened, but I'm having to do the whole video over again and I don't want this to happen again. Was it the move from my external drive to the internal drive what created the chaos?? Please help!!
(PS - I tried uploading the pds file, but it won't upload!)

Hello,
You need to remember that the PDS file does not contain any media files in them. It is just a list of the edits you made and locations of your files. If everything was on a removeable drive, including the PDS file, the best way to move everything is to pack the whole project to a folder, and then put that folder on your C drive. The folder will contain the PDS file and all the media fles you are using in the project.

Ashley Williams I thought I did that, but the pds file now has video clips in random sections, even parts that I removed. Audio from one part of the video is now on top of a different part of the video. It's like all the original files got jumbled up in a bag and randomly thrown into the pds file and created a Frankenstein monster!
For instance, in the attached screenshot, the audio in the purple is correct. But where it's yellow, it is a mix of that portion of the video and a clip that was in the very beginning. This is 5 minutes into the video.
In the second screenshot, you see the replicated video? I had cut out the majority of that in the original edits. Somehow clips got duplicated and triplicated, and audio randomly placed. Could this be a glitch in the program?? It didn't remember my edits and created a monster in the meantime.
The third screenshot shows the same clips over and over again, but this is later in the video - 11 through 14 minutes. This same thing happens randomly throughout the video, like one file laid on top of another. YIKES!! What happened?? Is there any way to fix it? I've put about 16 hours into this video, if not more. :(

Meryl Brown Hello,
No I don't think it is a Powerdirector glich. Having the files on an external drive, and moving files to a different drive is sure to make things squirrelly.
If I were you I would start over with all the files on your hard drive. And maybe use the Multcam designer, which is designed for projects like this. Will speed up the editing process as well

Ashley Williams Thanks. I tried the Multicam Designer and I couldn't find any way to edit or remove cameras. It's not the best experience. Something for more development in my opinion. So I figured out how to align the videos manually.
