Lost Layers

Lost Layers. All I did was take my PHI file with all my layers, into Library so I could print it, which is stupid as hell, and when I returned to the Library, and back to design, all the layers merged to one layer. Moving between Library, Design and others is set up stupid. I'm sure there is no way to get them back so now have to recreate the entire damn thing. PISSED!!

Hi,
What do you mean by "take"? If you just clicked on the library button and didn't save your project as a .phi file, then yes it creates a combined photo.
If you did save your .phi photo at some point, then it should be available on your hard drive somewhere.
There is an FAQ for reference:

Ashley Williams Thanks for the reply. I always save in PHI when working on designs in Design mode. The Library is an extra area I just dont understand. And not being able to print from Design mode is stupid.
I did save my certificate design with at least 30 layers, multiple times as a PHI. I needed to print it, and keep the PHI format so imported into Library, which should keep the layers, IMO. I did a QTRL-S in Library before I printed.
Importing it most likely combined the layers and then I saved over the PHI file with the layers.
BUT WHY?? I came from Adobe because they cost too much but I miss it greatly because having to work from Library, or Design, or Guided is just confusing. Yes, when moving from Design to Library is asks if I want to save to library, but it saves it as a PNG or JPG. Then i'm worried I lose my PHI file. Confusing. and time to start over...
