New patch?

Hello, I have PowerDVD23 on Windows 11 all updates, all drivers up to date.
Version of PowerDVD 23 is 23.0.2319.62. This should be the version that they offer for download on their website, at least it says 2319.
As of today, I'm getting the message, “Install this patch to improve the compatibility of the program.”
What exactly does this patch do? You search in vain for release notes or a changelog. I have (the legitimate) fear that no *.mkv files can be played again after the patch has been imported, so I would be very grateful if they could send them a changelog or a brief description of the current patch, including would announce the version number so that I can decide whether I want to update the software or not.
Thank you so much!

I have now found out that the patch (I did run it after all) is reinstalling version 23.0.2319.62. And then again offers to install a patch that installs the same version number again and so on...
Please take care of your software properly, PowerDVD is really good software for playing won Blu-Rays, but with something like that, you take away the joy of the paid program from your customers and you lose seriousness if you don't notice that your program is looking for updates and then installing the same patch over and over again. And no, I won't submit any files for analysis, you have to do it this way, the patch is still being offered to me when I open PowerDVD.
Thank you so much for your attention.

Thanks for the answer, but the point here is that the latest patch is offered again and again when PowerDVD automatically checks for updates. Even if you comply with the patch request and download and then install the patch, it will be offered again.
